A unique sound
Josh’s music writing style is always influenced by his desire to include live instrumentation and real, original sounds. He has recorded a wide range of instrumentation, from more traditional instruments like woodwinds, strings, and cathedral organ, to instruments specific to various ethnicities such as dilruba and tabla, to more experimental catalysts like breaths and kitchen utensils. Josh’s consistent aim is to create a musical palette unmistakably unique to the project in hand. He is often known to ask musicians to search for unusual ways to generate sound on their instruments, broadening the available emotional range for the project and creating further distinction from those that may be similar.
Michigan made
While Josh currently resides in Los Angeles, his original home is the great state of Michigan. He has a passion for Detroit sports, the Great Lakes, and all of the outdoor activities the wolverine state has to offer.
